Guide to Hong Kong International Airport's Cherry Blossom Garden
Hong Kong International Airport's Cherry Blossom Garden has become a must-visit destination for nature enthusiasts and travelers seeking a serene escape. Located near the foot of Scenic Hill along Chek Lap Kok South Road, the garden offers a picturesque display of cherry blossoms each spring.
Garden Highlights
In 2025, the Cherry Blossom Garden expanded to include "Cherry Blossom Bay," a scenic waterfront area featuring over 100 cherry blossom trees, including the heat-resistant 'Haoyunlai' variety suited to Hong Kong's climate. Visitors can stroll along the waterfront promenade, relax on lounge chairs, and enjoy picnics on the grassy areas while taking in views of the blossoms and Tung Chung Bay.
Blooming Season
The cherry blossoms typically bloom from February to March, with each blooming period lasting approximately 7 to 14 days. To extend the viewing season, trees are planted in two batches. The first batch usually blooms in late February, followed by the second in mid to late March.
Visiting Hours
The garden is open daily with the following hours:
Sunday to Thursday: 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM

For a unique experience, visit during the 'night sakura' period starting at 5:00 PM, when the garden is illuminated with colorful lights.
